For the Love of AfricaFor The Love Of Africa Society provides opportunities for reliable organizations in needy areas of Tanzania to partner with us to provide a brighter future for their communities by together building infrastructure for education, health care and vulnerable children.
Society members have the opportunity to share in the work of the society and it’s vision by assisting with fundraising, being an advocate for it’s work, and taking an active role in decision making. Members also have the opportunity to volunteer to travel to Tanzania to work with the local communities to fulfill their dreams of a brighter future.

GIFT CARDS ARE AVAILABLE
We have cards saying "Seasons Greetings", "In Honour of", "In Memory of", "On behalf of", and "Happy Birthday". We can insert special wordings in our general card to express your wishes. Make a donation through Canada Helps (online) or send a cheque by mail. Details regarding gift cards are on the "Donations" page of our website.
- A donation of $10.00 will provide school supplies to three children. Each time our team travels to Africa, school supplies are purchased and distributed to schools in the Dodoma area. These supplies include scribblers, pens, pencils, erasers etc…whatever is needed by the students. (Please note: We are unable to provide tax
receipts for donations under $20…this is due to the fact that we have no paid employees – all of your donation goes to Africa). A donation made through our “Canada Helps” link will be receipted for a $10.00 donation. Please provide an e-mail address so that a gift card may be sent to you (to forward or for you to print and give to the recipient of your gift).
- A donation of $25 will provide medical care to 3 African families. This amount will provide doctors diagnosis and medication. Your donation will support work provided by the Nkuhungu Community Medical Centre. The Mother and Child health care unit treats pregnant women and Children under 5. The dispensary treats other family members.
- A donation of $30 will provide two bricks for a new building.
Each brick weighs close to fifty pounds. A team just completed our 2011 project (a new school building). We’ll be providing funds to the Galilaya Orphans Centre for phase II of the orphans centre. Your contribution will provide for vulnerable children and those orphaned by HIV/Aids.

The Galilaya Children’s Centre
The centre provides a day facility for approx. 144 children. 52 are orphans (many due to HIV/Aids), the other 92 are vulnerable children. Further details are on the Projects page.
The Nkuhungu Medical Centre and Reproductive and Child Health Unit
This is a non-profit medical facility in an impoverished area of Dodoma, Tanzania. The clinic has been filling a need for the community since it's doors opened in October of 2008. In the month of December 2010, 2,000 patients were treated in the clinic. 800 through the main dispensary and 1250 through the maternal and child health program. Of the 1250 treated, 300 were pregnant women and 950 were children under 5. More information has been listed on the Projects page. Mothers and children at the medical centre.
