C - 2006 Pre-Purchase visit to Nkuhungu site

The Nkuhungu Medical Centre is the current project FTLOA. An initial team visited in October 2007, with a follow up specialized visit in 2008, and a 2009 return in the planning stage. These teams are working on the establishment and sustainability of the medical clinic which serves a local population approaching 65,000. Initial contact for this project was made in October 2006 when Society representatives visited the site and made the decision to purchase the building. It is much more cost effective to complete the existing structure than to acquire a new site and build from the ground up.
